Writing personal descriptions has always been my personal hell, but I wouldn't want to send you on a completely blind date, so here goes! 

I grew up in sunny San Diego, and am predictably asked why I would ever want to leave, but as it turns out -  sunshine is only the tip of the what-I-want-out-of-life iceberg. I want variety. I want smart, dynamic friends (& lovers), cinemas that show the limited release films that never came to San Diego, restaurants with stamps of approval from Pete Wells & voluminous wine lists, legendary galleries & museums...the list goes on (I guess I'm greedy).

I feel super lucky to lead the life I do. A spunky lady once said "We only live once, but if you do it right, that's enough." Living only once, there's no time for bad dates. The people I choose to spend time with are intelligent, articulate, well traveled, well groomed, and as discerning as I am. Including a little information about yourself in your introductory email will help set you apart as one such gentleman. 

I have a passport peppered with stamps and visas, a few languages up my sleeve, and a never-ending tick list of places to see, so even if you're far away, don't hesitate to contact me about a trip you'd like me to join. There's nothing sexier than a foreign rendez-vous.
